It's early on, but I have to say that the game is laughably difficult, and I've played plenty of comparable RTS.That being said, there really is no other RTS just like it. For some reason, I just really didn't want humans in the game, disappointed to learn they're the protagonists of the story...This is a very interesting and fresh project, but it's squandered by being way too fast-paced, leaving almost no time to enjoy your accomplishments and discoveries - or build up significantly at all, effectively locking you out of even seeing certain late-game-only features. The tutorial allows for this, but it's only on one map and it more or less directs your every step, with an enemy that only attacks defensively. This feature should be renamed "Training" and handled as such.Right now, it really still seems like it's in beta. I've heard some say that it would feel at home in the 90s - this is very true, and while I don't mind that, it's a little too heavy with this in certain areas.Either way, give it some time - maybe it'll be approachable later.. I bought this game after reading a few positive reviews, after twenty minutes of playing i regretted my decision. Hello, This will be a short breif or not review.As from the gameplay i played was great and fun challenging never the less. So this game is released and updated are coming around the week the only problem with this game is the lack of tools and path finding. Many people complain about the same thing but you should wait on the developers because there 2 that are working on the game. A game like this is good in a spam of 4 mouths. If the lvl one mission on easy is hard i have a video on how easy i beat it in around 15 min and that was my first time playing. I am rather disappointed in the way RTS's seem to be heading as of late with regards to large skirmish battles (or lack thereof)...back in my day we had some really great eight player skirmish battles in "Warcraft II". Had this game been priced the same as "Grey Goo", I'd probably give it a "no-recommend". Luckily, the Early Access price is only ten bucks, which isn't bad when you compare it and its features to the aforementioned game that goes for fifty. I'm not sure how I feel about "the night" replacing your typical fog-of-war...I kind of miss the shroud and being able to see territories that I've already discovered. While there is still a bit of work to do and a few features to be implemented, NightSide is clearly an indie title with AAA ambitions, and one with the drive to follow through on them. 10/10 for effort. P.S. Finally, a proper RTS released on Linux as well!. I wouldn't say the game is bad, it's just old. I'll be generous and call it 'nostalgic', but this game would feel right at home in the late nineties. I'm not sure why I'd want to play a game that ignores all the advances we've made in the last twenty years.
