The Bytro team is very proud to introduce the new Paratrooper unit to live servers! Paratroopers are deployed as airplanes which can take off from any airport controlled by a player. After attacking a land target, the airplane converts to a Paratrooper Infantry on the ground. Once converted into a Paratrooper Infantry the unit cannot be converted back into an airplane.This unique unit will allow you to use a new set of strategies! Surprise your opponents and sneak up on them. Drop Paratroopers in lightly guarded or unguarded strategically valuable provinces to conquer them and their resources as fast as possible. You can also drop them behind enemy lines to open a second front and allow your forces to re-group and fight back even harder! With the release of the new Paratroopers we implement some additional changes to Call of War: Another major change is a reduction of victory points needed to win the game. In order to make end game battles even more fierce and meaningful we adjusted the victory conditions for single and team/coalition victories. To reach a solo victory you now only need 51% instead of the previous 60% victory points. Victory points needed for teams/coalitions have been reduced from 80% to 70% as well. We also lowered the victory requirement for 2-team maps and 1on1 maps from 90% to 80%. Last but not least… rewards for all!With the release of the new Paratroopers we are introducing additional victory rewards for all participants of a game round. Not only did we increase existing victory reward payouts, but added a fixed gold bonus for all participants of games who survived until the end and stayed active. So even if it seems that you are not able to win the game anymore, there is still some reward waiting for you at the end! Combat Gadget: Dear generals,some of our frontline pioneers may already have witnessed the small new war gadget. We are now showing an animated timer that visualizes your units’ next attack. This will make it easier for you to track the current state of your ongoing fights and when your units will execute their next strike. Additionally, buildings will now show how much hit points they have left. Simply click on the province your building is in and hover over the image (or click on it and check the building description). Another important notice: After collecting community feedback and discussing the airplane behavior internally, we will, approximately in 2 weeks with our next update, introduce the following behavior for airplanes, which will affect running games:Patrolling airplanes only deal damage to countries they are at war with.Ground & air troops don't do any area of effect (AoE) damage to neutral units or provinces when they are not directly attacking them, which means you won't trigger war with a neutral country if you attack enemies inside their provinces.Aircrafts patrolling over neutral territory don't attack neutral units/provinces and also don't deal AoE damage to them, they only attack enemy troops and only damage them.Damage and war is only triggered to the neutral units/buildings when a direct attack command is given on a neutral unit or province.Exception: Shooting rockets at enemy units on neutral land will trigger war with the neutral country.Additional bug fixes:We fixed a bug that caused the country selection to freeze for the tournament island when you tried to select a random country.Selling and buying on the market was not displayed properly in ‘my trades’.You are now able to withdraw your coalition application.The pop-up to inform you about contradictory trades not working is now displayed properly and not disappearing after one second.Clicking on ‘back to my games’ within a game round redirects you to ‘my games’.Espionage actions were able to be clicked without effect on your own provinces, this will not be possible anymore.We hope you like this update.Your Call of War team. Home Decorations: Dear generals,With this update the following changes that were already announced will go live: Airplane Changes (News, November 22) and Home Defense Bonus (News, December 6). Sadly you will still see a pop-up for now that mentions your action will trigger war when you help defending your allies territory, but this will not trigger war anymore. The removal of this pop-up is already scheduled. Here is the list of all additional features and changes:Core provinces will be returned back to their original owner when reconquered by another coalition member. Games that are too old to join will be excluded from the non-filtered games list.The coalition list now shows the flags of all member countries for each coalition. The current position field for all naval units contained no information. This has been fixed. On the [Dominion] Antarctica map, AI countries had offered diplomatic relations (like right of way or shared map). This has been fixed. Researching before a game round has started is not possible anymore. Now you are finally able to experience all of our convenient coalition features in team games as well, including a shared chat for all team members. We also fulfilled another big request: You can now use the handy Event log in the PC version of Call of War. In it you can see a list of what happened in your game round, even while you were offline! The market now refreshes much more often to prevent this issue.Fixed a case where push notifications could not be sent in the iOS version.Players of anonymous rounds are no longer revealed in push notification texts.Fixed incorrect timestamps in the event log on speed maps or when speeding up constructions.Research times are now displayed correctly again on speed maps in the mobile version.Trade offers are now using the correct real timestamp instead of the ingame time in Speed maps.Fixed an issue for some players where the toggle option for the WebGL renderer was not visible in the game settings.Since this was a big release, there can be some hiccups, which will be fixed swiftly afterwards.
